Details here are nails and various creases in the flexed joints, and light creases at the knuckles.

Wall hanging: The hand sticks out from the wall and is quite vulnerable to being knocked off. The safest way to mount the hand is with an escutcheon (keyhole) plate. The keyhole slot is 'upside down' so the wall screw effectively locks the carving to the wall. You'll need to finesse the wall screw in an out until you feel the carving definitely slot down and abut the wall closely with a satisfying 'kerchunk'.
