This video is taken from the Merlin project.

I wanted to find my Merlin sitting on a post out of one piece of wood and this model really helped me firm up my idea.

I think themodel of the bird ended up looking a little parrot-like, but that really didn't matter; the model was only ever meant to be a guide to get me into the carving, not a gallery piece. Once on my way, I stopped looking at this model altogether and, as I write, it's back in the clay bin...
