The Horse Chestnut of Hope

Project Owner: Chris Hewertson
Type of Wood: Bass Wood
Finish: Danish oil
Dimensions: 110mm * 120mm

Description:

I was determined to follow all the good advice and follow all the beginner instructional videos, but then I thought I'd have a go. I would describe this as rough and rustic, but as my first effort I'm actually pleased, even if it does look like something a child created. The conker picked by my late father, and I've kept it ever since. I thought this was a good use for it.

This project was done by a carver with less than 12 months experience.
