Santa by Romanillos

Project Owner: RAUL ROMANILLOS LLORENTE
Type of Wood: Lindenwood
Finish: Beeswax
Dimensions: 155 X 245 X 25 milimeter

Description:

I wanted to start a woodcarving related with Christmas. I wanted to try to Lindenwood. I have carved Santa's nose and eyes with very sharp gouges. My gouges should stand the test of cut paper.I have looked at the beard has drawn a spiral. The size of Santa is finished only with beeswax (I'm waiting to dry well and get brighter). This project comes from the original Santa carved by Shawn Cipa (the book Handcarved Christmas-The Best of Woodcarving Illustrated. page 123). I'M HAPPY WITH THE RESULT.
