Description:
Whilst staying in a hotel in Germany I thought it would be good to learn a couple of phrases. So I carefully memorised the greetings card I found in the room and had a good sleep. The following morning I went down to breakfast and welcomed fellow guests with the phrase "Bitte Nicht Storen" and was promptly ignored by everyone. This carving is for a German doctor friend, about to retire, to go on his office door. The phrase ? it means do not disturb.
