Relief tree

Project Owner: Louise Bonney
Type of Wood: Lime
Finish: Plain
Dimensions: 20x17

Description:

Making this is close to why I enjoy doing jigsaws! I am so pleased with the result, even though my cuts are still too rough. I've ' commisioned' one tool only in the way Chris advises and haven't yet found the nerve to sharpen the small gouge I used for this tree - maybe that's my next project. But first, as I cut my original template in half because the wood was so thick, I have another tree to finish. I would love to know where Chris sourced his book-end supports, as I can't find any online, and would like to use the trees as book-ends.

This project was done by a carver with less than 12 months experience.
