Drapery in progress

Project Owner: Richard Lewis
Type of Wood: Lime
Finish: unfinished
Dimensions: 60cm x 35 cm 10cm

Description:

Found the drapery video very inspiring and so used this old chamois leather as a model. Then had a short break to Milan Italy. a couple of hours with sketch book and camera looking at the many statues surrounding the Duomo Cathedral was like a masterclass in drapery carving, the skill of the craftsmen is incredible if you get the chance to visit...Guess they used leather to model their drapery many years ago too. Will post the finished carving in time.
