Hello everyone. I started this project last February and finished it in June and finally got around to applying a finish. It's my first carving and I learned a lot. Probably the biggest thing was not to cut so deep outlining various parts of the carving because you can created a big job for yourself to bring the background down to that depth. My goal is to be able to decorative and architectural carving as you see in churches and other buildings. I'm a hobbyist now, but someday...
