Description:
I needed to cut a mature fig back in order to create access to the shed behind it. I wondered how it would carve, and made this as a try-out. It turns out that the wood is perfect for carving, is a lovely pale greeny- yellow and smells gloriously of figs! The photo doesn’t show the full beauty of the colour I’m afraid.
