Basset Hound

Type of Wood: Basswood
Finish: Beeswax
Dimensions: 9 in. x 9 in. (23 cm x 23 cm)

Description:

Low relief in Basswood; carved from a photo of a young Basset hound. I finished it with beeswax and burnished it. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could represent the many folds and wrinkles in a low relief. The carved depth is about 3/8" (~1 cm)
