We love showcasing our members carvings; after all, getting people to carve is what Woodcarving Workshops is all about! In the gallery you’ll see a wide range of carvings, from novice to advanced; each one the result of time and effort, inspiration and dedication. We value them all!

Description:

I am 65 years old and started carving when I was 5 when I discovered my grandfathers carving chisels stored in my dad's shop. I did not get serious about carving until I was about 25. Back then I had no one to teach me but I picked up a copy of Wheeler and Hayward's book on carving. It was the only book available back in the 60's and remained the best book until Chris started his great series a few years back. Chris has left them all in the dust.
