Brick Tile Patera

There are quit a few patera-type carvings on Woodcarving Workshops; a patera being a circular, sometimes square motif with a centre from which the design radiates.

The one in the picture is one we just happend to see walking through a car park in town. It's been cast in clay as a big tile within a brick wall and we thought is was quite beautiful - and quite carveable. It's amazing what artistry and craftsmanship you can find just by looking around.

All yours!
