Brockhampton Trail

This Easter we got to walk a trail of 12 posts that follow a footpath from an Iron Age fort, past a beautiful, thatched Arts & Crafts church and into the beautiful countryside around Brockhampton, high above the River Wye in Herefordshire.

Chris carved the letters ito these local oak posts a few years ago - some 1200 letters all together - and here we are hanging out at one of them. Each post commemorates some historical event or feature in the landscape.

A trail guide has yet to be published but if you'd like to see them yourself. Brockhampton lies between the historic city of Hereford and the market town of Ross-on-Wye. Seek out All Saint's Church: 3 The Parks, Brockhampton, Hereford HR1 4SD and you'll easily see posts disappearing off into the fields.

And here's a link to the church itself, which you can visit every day from 9am - 5pm.
