Imran - There is a lot of lobe-cutting! I've included the tools I used in the download (link above) and hopefully it will be obvious what I used for the cuts you are interested in.

Hi Chris. Hope all is well. When you are cutting the lobes of the leaves, what sweep gouge are you using? Thanks

Imran - The edges of some of the leaves drop down very close to the background - such as those at the bottom of the picture above; these can be undercut only slightly, a couple of mm. Other leaves end quite far from the background - such as you can se top right; these can be undercut more extensively. And there's a range in between.
There's a logic to what needs undercutting and how much that depends on the design. Have a go and you'll see how it all pans out.

Hi Chris. Nice video. Not clear if you are also setting in and undercutting the posterior leaves (leaves opposite to the volute). I assume the 2 leaves you are seen working on in the video are higher than the leaves in the back. Thank you
