As in the previous video in this project, there are other videos here on Woodcarving Workshop that will pack out the technique I'm showing you. In particular:
Again, it's the curved surface on which you are working that makes this a tricky bit of carving. Trust your eye as much as the drawn line and cut to the edges carefully—sneak up on them.
You get a close up, almost train-of-thought, style of teaching as I carve so apologies for the heavy breathing: I had a cold and was sniffling a bit. But the show must go on!
When you think you've done, again, change the lighting and check the edges.
