Chris & Carrie

Cherry Cap

Project Owner: Robert Hornback
Type of Wood: Cherry
Finish: Dull Lacquer
Dimensions: 11.5" X 6.75" X 3.37"

Description:

I have had this piece of cherry for a decade waiting for just the right project. Beautiful wood. I was inspired to make my own by seeing Chris' cap caving. I handled mine a little differently and like the way it turned out. I made my model from a real cap that I shaped and then hardened with spray lacquer. I chose the cherry sign and the botanical name on the back because of the wood. Added stitching with a seamstress's pattern copy wheel.
